SPOTTED IN VINTAGE!
Happy Tuesday Lovelies,
If you look at most fashion vintage pictures and catalogs, you will find that polka dot dresses, tops, and swimsuits were all very popular from the 1920s to the 1960s. Large and small dots with white on a colored background were the most common. They were fun, youthful, trendy and sometimes high fashion.
The trend never really left but wasn’t as popular until recently from 2015 to date. Polka dots are often associated with vintage so as soon as I recieved these palazzo pants from Romwe, I decided to play around and bring you a somewhat vintage look. so to get a real vintage feel, I went thrift shopping and I got exactly what I was looking for $7. (I know, crazy steal) I paired the pants with a yellow vintage double breasted jacket that I bought for $2.99. the color just brings a beautiful pop to the spots on my pants. It has gold buttons which really reminds me of the olden days lol. I also found a scarf for 0.99 cents which added a cherry on top of the cake to match with my pants. the top handle bag is also thrifted for $2.99, this one I really like. it has a glossy look and looks like something I could find in my Gogo’s closet (Gogo means nana/ grandma in my native language)
For the shoes, since I couldn’t find any vintage shoe that I liked, I decided to go with my favorite white boots(modern). That’s the thing I like about personal style, you can mix it however you want without sticking to any fashion rules.
I hope you like what you see because I think I did amazing with this look. (inserts wink emoji) As always, I have linked similar items below for you to shop and my boots are on sale for only $11!!!
Be inspired and thank you so much for visiting my blog.
Till next time, Stay stylish and be
